Vondráčková, Alice ; Lejsal, Matěj (advisor) ; Šťastná, Jaroslava (referee)
The theme of my thesis is Assistance in financial management and use of financial counselling services at the asylum houses for mothers with children. The aim of this study is to determine whether it is possible to help mothers at asylum houses with financial management. Financial literacy and the skill to manage their money of these users is very low and it is later on transmitted to their children. Social workers at asylum houses try to help and to encourage their clients in various areas of their lives. Money is not the area every client allows you to intervene in. In my work I consider the views of particular participants on issues of financial management and through using various tools to cooperate with users to improve their financial management skills and at the end of my work I review how the cooperation worked out and succeeded.
Life of mothers with children in a shelter.
KONČICKÁ, Markéta
This thesis deals with the life of mothers with children in the shelter. The thesis maps expectations of these women about living in the shelter in the confrontation with their real experience. The thesis is divided into several parts. Theoretical part consists of nine subchapters where the basic concepts related to the issue of social services - shelters, unfavorable social situation, social exclusion and social inclusion are defined. The thesis describes the principles of the activity of shelters for mothers with children, deals with the state of care for mothers with children in our country and characterizes the development and changes in the function of the family. The thesis also deals with the reasons leading to the loss of housing, the issues of homelessness and housing accessibility. It describes and characterizes the possibilities of social protection of mothers with children without home, besides social services - shelters also conditions for entitlement to social benefits and the relevant legislation. The empirical part defines the objectives, research methods and results, which are illustrated and described in tables, discussion and final summary. The main aim of the thesis was to find out the expectations of the mothers with children about the life in the shelter in confrontation with their real experience. The partial objectives of the thesis were to find out for what causes mothers with children come to the shelter and how their needs are met. Research questions have been identified for these objectives: For what reasons do mothers with children seek for help in the shelter? What are the expectations of mothers with children about living in the shelter? What is the real experience of mothers with children living in the shelter? Were the expectations of mothers with children about living in the shelter met? Empirical part of the thesis was processed by the method of qualitative research using semi-structured interview with opened questions. For data evaluation the method of open coding was used. The research group consisted of six women - mothers with children living in the shelter in the South Bohemian Region. Given the sensitivity of the topic the identification data of women and the shelter were not mentioned in this thesis. The research pointed out the issue of (in)availability of housing for single mothers with children in the unfavorable social situation. The most common reason for loss of housing is the break-up of the partnership, the dismissal of housing and lack of funds. The research also revealed that the main expectation of all interviewed women is to provide accommodation and stay with their children. This thesis helped to find out which services the clients seek the most and whether their needs are fulfilled.
Social work in shelters for mothers with children.
ZÁMEČNÍKOVÁ, Lucie
The bachelor thesis deals with the family, its types, social work, social worker and a shelter, namely shelters for mothers with children. The aims of this bachelor thesis are four, describe the processes and essence of social work in shelters for mothers with children, to find out the satisfaction of the clients with the services provided and the observance of the Code of Ethics by social workers from the point of view of clients. For the purpose of research, I addressed the first shelter where I had the practice, then I chose 2 other shelters using the snowball sampling. In each of these, I targeted two social workers and two clients with a technique of deliberate selection. Overall, I addressed 12 respondents. For the empirical part, I chose qualitative research. I used the method of qualitative polling, the technique of a semi-structured interview. The data obtained from the interviews was processed using the open coding process and subsequent categorization of data. The results of the research have shown that the essence of social work is the elimination and mitigation of the problems with which the clients come and who appear during the provision of social services. The procedures of social work are the same in all shelters that have been approached, from the reception of the client, through the service delivery, after the termination of the social work with the client. As part of the client satisfaction survey, clients were satisfied with the facility. From the results of the last goal, it is clear, that social workers respect the Code of Ethics from the point of view of clients.

DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Vendula
The aim of this thesis is to determine user satisfaction with the offered services in the selected facilities of social services for families with children. In the practical part of the thesis, qualitative research, personal interrogation and a semi-structured interview have been applied. Using the Registry of Providers of Social Services of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, a research sample from the South Bohemian Region was selected. Permission to interview communication partners was granted by a facility of social activation services for families with children and by shelter for mothers with children. The complete reserach sample was covered by ten communication partners, six of them from the first mentioned facility, the remaining from the shelter. The interview for practical part of this thesis contained 19 questions with the aim tofind out how satisfied the users in the mentioned facilities are. Collected data were evaluated by means of open coding method, i.e. data were grouped into individual cathegories to reach better clarity. Research indicates that all communication partners are satisfied with social services for families with children and they can recommend them also to other individuals being in a similarly difficult life position they are not able to solve on their own. This bachelor thesis can serve as a feedback for providers of social services for families with children from their users and at the same time it could lead to eventual improvement of social services. Furthermore, it could be a guide for potential applicants for these social services, so that they know where to look for assistance and what to expect from these facilities of social services.
